A very warm welcome for XBundle

Following some opening words from Nigel Murray of event sponsors TRILANTIC, the event started with a presentation by James Norton of BriefBox, who demonstrated his company's online document collaboration workspace. He took the audience through the process of gathering documents together for collation into a trial bundle, and the freezing of the trial bundle ready for printing or export into XBundle format.

Robert Onslow then continued the presentation with a run-through of the main features of XBundle, demonstrating the process of annotating areas of interest in a bundle, creating categories, chronologies and using the highlighter pen.

We were then given a practical demonstration of XBundle in action through a mock trade mark hearing. Robert Onslow palyed the part of the barrister with the traditional paper bundle, whilst the hearing officer, Richard Kennell, and counsel for the opposition, Mark Engleman, had screens and viewed the bundles quickly and in full colour where available.

This mock hearing, whilst being very amusing, served a serious point of demonstrating just how inefficient paper bundles are, and generated real enthusiasm from the audience.

A series of questions followed amidst an atmosphere of great interest and the sense that here was a product that really is breaking the mould and has true potential as a practical alternative to the paper bundle.

The event closed with excellent wine and nibbles very kindly provided by Trilantic, with a number of people staying over an hour to talk to Xbundle and BriefBox about the possibilities of both systems.

We would like to thank all those who attended and TRILANTIC for kindly sponsoring the event.
